Star-studded frames, sumptuous lifestyle with gorgeous women surrounded, that is how people tend to view football-players-turn-celebrities nowadays. As usual, Forbes Magazine’s top earning football players list is where those names become a new cash cow.
Despite the fact that the world economic crisis is slowing down the global endorsement market, however, this year big name are still the world’s most influential figures. This year, the Los Angeles’ super star, David Beckham, once again tops the list with the total amount of money earned at $219 million dollar. At the second spot, the Brazilian heart-throb, Cristiano Ronando, earned the total amount of $160 million dollars (estimated) followed by Lionel Messi of Barcelona and Rocardo Kaka.
At number 5, Flamengo’s hero, Ronaldinho earned the total amount of $90 million dollars. Both Thierry and Rooney share two spots on the list, number 5 and 6. At the last three spots on Forbes’ richest football players belong to Frank Lampard, Zlatab Ibrahinmovic and Samuel Eto’o.
